We were born as a school of languages in San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina, in 1987, preparing students for national (Asociación de Exalumnos de Lenguas Vivas, Buenos Aires) and international examinations (Cambridge University, Oxford University and London University, among others.) At the same time, we offered different teacher refresher and training courses for graduate teachers and people skilled in English. In 1997, we founded our in-person teacher training course, and in 2007, we focused on developing an innovative educational experience that would be life-changing for a lot of people: the online teacher training course. Launching this online educational initiative turned out to be an incredibly unique and valuable experience for everyone involved, and which laid the foundations for future distance learning offerings. In this way, we were able to give a professional status to English teaching not only for those who want to become graduate English teachers, but also for current working teachers that want to get a degree with a national accreditation.

She graduated from the Instituto Superior Lenguas Vivas J. R. Fernández. She lived in London, UK, for 7 years, where she worked for the Department of Translation in Shell Global (London). She also did postgraduate courses in Oxford University.
In Argentina, she worked as an ESP (English for Specific Purposes) professor in the National University of Comahue. She organised and coordinated the different chairs in the English department in Fasta University (Argentina.) In 2010 and 2011, she designed the following EFL curriculum designs, for primary and secondary schools: Lengua Extranjera Inglés para 1° y 2° Ciclos de EGB, Inglés para 3° Ciclo de EGB y Educación Polimodal, Nivel Primario: 4° a 7º grados and Revisión del Diseño Curricular para el Nivel Primario. She coordinated the Programa de Capacitación Docente para Idóneos en Inglés (teaching training programme for the skilled in English) for four years, which was backed by the province of Río Negro and funded by the Ministry of Education of Argentina. Implementing an assessment system, she supervised the English teaching in state and private schools in the provinces of Río Negro and Neuquén, setting new excellence standards in the south of the country. She is founder and headmistress of the in-person Instituto Superior de Formación Docente Lenguas Vivas (technical degrees and English Teacher Training Course) since 1997 and of its distance learning version since 2006. The Institution and the careers have national accreditation in Argentina.
She has also conducted a study on English teaching in secondary school called La enseñanza de inglés en el nivel medio (INFoD, national institute for teacher training), which was intended to improve English teaching in state schools. She represented the province of Río Negro in the Programa Asistente de Idiomas, which was a languages programme conducted by the Ministry of Education of Argentina, the British Council and Fullbright Comission (USA.)
Nowadays, she is the headmistress of the distance learning English Teaching Training Course.
Silvina Lucrecia Indart holds a degree issued by the University of Buenos Aires and some postgraduate degrees issued by Austral University and del CEMA University (Argentina). She has over 18 years of professional experience, especially in the project management and teamwork organisation areas. She specialises in leadership and mediation. Since 2015, she has been working as the chief coordinator of the Instituto Lenguas Vivas Bariloche. She is in charge of the institutional management of the online English teaching training course and the namesake languages school. She represents the institute before the Ministry of Education of Argentina and of the province of Río Negro.
María designs courses and she is an examiner and consultant in different educational institutions in Río Negro and Neuquén. She holds postgraduate degrees issued in the UK and Argentina. She participated in a teacher training project organised by the Ministry of Education of Argentina. She was a teacher in Fasta University and deputy headmistress in state schools. She did research on English teaching in vulnerable social contexts. Her main interests are action research and literature.
Darío holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics (Warwick University.) He is a professor in the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow, Scotland) and a visiting professor in some Spanish and Latin American universities. His latest book is Content Knowledge in English Language Teacher Education, published in 2020 by Bloomsbury Publishing. His main interests are CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) approach, early teacher training and action research.
He holds a PhD in applied linguistics (Georgetown University, USA), an MS in ESL (University of Scranton, USA) and a degree in teaching and a BA in English (National University of San Juan.) He has worked as a professor in the National University of San Juan, the National University of La Rioja and the Instituto Lenguas Vivas Bariloche. Since 2015, he has worked as a professor of linguistics in Western Michigan University (USA). In 2005, he was awarded a Fullbright grant to work as an ETA (English teaching assistant) in the USA. He has been a lecturer at many international conferences on applied linguistics and second language teaching. His publications have appeared in prestigious academic journals, such as The Modern Language Journal and Language Teaching Research.
She holds an MS in EFL issued by Iberoamerican University Foundation together with the University of Jaén, a specialisation in New Technologies (PENT-FLACSO) and a degree in constructivism and education (FLACSO, Argentina.) She holds a teaching degree and a BA in English issued by the National University of San Juan. Between 2016 and 2019, Graciela participated in the developing of the curricular design for the province of Río Negro (Ministry of Education.) Nowadays, she is part of the Teaching, Research and Institutional Cooperation team at PENT-FLACSO. She worked as a teacher of applied linguistics and teacher training in the National University of San Juan (UNSJ.) She was one of the field research assistants in the project Nuevas Tendencias de Comunicación y Participación en las Escuelas 2.0 (new trends in communication and participation in schools 2.0) by PENT-FLACSO, and one of the assistant researchers in the Sociolinguistics, Applied Linguistics and Critical Discourse Analysis departments (UNSJ.) She has co-written a chapter of a book about teacher identity and an article for an international academic journal about motivation in online learning. She has published and given lectures in national and international conferences about narrative, narrative identity, critical discourse analysis and online teaching experiences. Her areas of interest are the didactics of a foreign language, online education, digital technologies, narrative and teacher identity.
She works as an EFL teacher in state and public educational institutions. She holds a B.Ed. (University of Quilmes, Argentina) and an M.S. in education management (del Mar University, Chile.) Her main interests are early teacher training and the affective factor in the teaching-learning process.
She is a secondary and post-secondary English teacher (Joaquín V. González Teacher Training Institute), education specialist in the post-secondary level and ICT (INFoD) and she is taking a master’s degree in educational technology (UBA). She is experienced in the development of curriculum designs for the English subject in primary, secondary and teacher training levels. Her main interests are speaking development in EFL, thoughtful practices in teaching, intercultural education and active learning.
Marianela holds a B.A. in psychology and a degree in image and sound design, both issued by the UBA. She took part in different research projects, among which there is a study on the role of pedagogical mediation in teaching-learning processes of a foreign language (Dir. Venticinque.) Marianela also graduated as an EFL teacher in Argentina and certified herself as an English teacher in London. She has been an examiner in international exams for different educational institutions. She has vast teaching experience, having worked in state and private institutions. Regarding arts and communication, Marianela has worked in a number of audiovisual and multimedia content productions. In addition, she holds a postgraduate degree in marketing and advertising and has worked in that field, too. Creativity in the teaching-learning process, inclusive education and interculturality are among her areas of interest. She has also studied intercultural teaching and learning in Florida International University.

She holds a degree in applied technologies in distance teaching and development of didactic material. Her areas of interest are teacher training, online education and applied technologies in education.
She is a philosophy teacher graduated from the teacher training institute Pio X (Córdoba, Argentina.) She is also a sociology teacher in San José de las Hermanas Dominicas secondary school (Córdoba.) She has attended courses on culture, leadership and development of practical judgement. Education, culture and art are some of her main areas of interest and research.
Jorgelina holds a BA in psychology (University of Palermo, Argentina.) She works as an educational psychologist. She holds a teacher degree issued by the Faculty of Education Sciences of Fasta University (Argentina.) She holds professional certifications in educational evaluation, computer literacy and infancies and adolescence with a gender, rights and self-care perspective. Her main interests are school issues, neuroscience, heterogeneous classrooms and humanistic psychology. Her professional goal is to continue researching in the education field, acquiring tools to promote a people’s full development.
